Garden whimseys

Just a few ideas for the garden. The bench was made from pine boards. The "legs" are extra long and buried in the soil for stability. The curve detail was done with a scroll saw. It's quite weathered and I often think of repainting it but it just seems to work the way it is.

The "tower" is part of an old windmill. I placed the tin bunny on top. Trying to get morning glories to grow on it but they don't seem to like the location. Some
hops are growing up the middle.

A few more ideas...

Another book to share

I just wanted to share another book find. This book is filled with great images you can use on your projects. These cards and favors were made using the images in this book.

Little zippered pouch

This little zippered pouch or make-up bag is another project from the Sew Pretty Homestyle book. It was fairly simple. The angel is made up of different fabrics that have been embroidered to the front of the pouch. I then scanned the front of the pouch and made up a sweet little gift card to go along with it.

Shower Card and Favor

The card is fairly basic. I drew the picture of the child and embellished the card with ribbons and flowers. The favor "pillow" is filled with cotton batting and scented herbs. I attached a "yo-yo" of white fabric to the pillow with a white button.

Bubble Girl

I am just beginning to work with Paint Shop and this is one of my first attempts at layering and "other stuff"! I drew the picture of the girl and the bubbles, scanned a piece of fabric, and the computer and I took it from there. OK, it's pretty basic but I had fun and I do like the finished result!

Floral Invitations

This card is made with layers of different papers, including a page from an old novel (used as a background). The favor is made from a small brown paper bag with a similar image to the invitation. Both have a "flower" attached.

Flannel Teddy Bears

Well... I don't know what happened but a while back I just wanted to make something... and perhaps I overdid it! I actually even had more! Luckily, they are kind of cute and some were given new homes.

They are made of flannel so they are quite huggable. (The spellcheck just told me I either spelled the word "huggable" incorrectly or perhaps it isn't even a word! But I think you get the point!)
